I’m hosting a virtual food drive to help Food Bank of the Rockies feed hungry families.

As part of the NLC program, I am hosting this virtual food drive in support of the Denver community as my capstone project.

NLC or the National Leadership Council is a 4 year program for high school teens designed to develop leadership skills. This program has provided great opportunities, from serving people for two weeks in New Orleans, which helped reinforce leadership skills. 

During my services trip, I worked with a food bank in New Orleans. Because of this I was able to see the good that food drives do to help the communities that they serve. This inspired me to make my capstone project about helping people who are experiencing food insecurity in the Denver/Colorado community.
