The Colorado Department of Public Safety, Human Resource's Office is hosting a virtual food drive to help Food Bank of the Rockies feed hungry families. Will you help us and contribute to this important cause?

This year has been one of the most challenging years we have ever faced as a community. The pandemic upended every normal thing we've done all our lives from gathering with friends and family, shopping, eating out to where and if we are able to work.  This pandemic has taken a huge toll on employment forcing many, many people to be unemployed for the first time in their lives- just devastating. As a result of these major disruptions to people's lives, food banks and food pantries that serve people in need have become a lifeline for families to be able to feed themselves and their children. Overall about 18 percent of food pantry clients have never visited a pantry before COVID hit, and that's a staggering number compared to normal. 

With this in mind and feeling the urgency of providing food for those less fortunate, CDPS HR decided to give to the Food Bank of the Rockies to help feed those in need and ensure they have food on their tables this Holiday season. As a result of the pandemic,  they are not accepting food but we can support them through a Virtual Food Drive where we donate dollars to be used to buy food. We invite you to join HR in helping our neighbors facing hunger!
