This semester I was in a leadership program at CU Denver that usually has a volunteer component; however, due to COVID, we decided to make it into a fundraising campaign for Food Bank of the Rockies. Will you help me help me?
Did you know the food bank can provide four meals or five pounds of food for just a dollar? That means every single individual dollar you donate means someone can eat for day.
And unfortunately, food insecurity is even more pressing during COVID-19. FBR of the Rockies has seen a 40% increase in their services with many of those new individuals having never used a food pantry before. On average, FBR has been distributing over 250k meals a day, with one day setting a record at over 350k.
The pandemic isn't over and January is historically the worst month for food bank fundraising/outreach. Help as much as you can and let's make sure our community gets through this.
Thank you in advance
