Welcome to the AECOM (Denver ED&I) MLK Jr. Day of Service Fundraising Page
Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. recognized the power of service. Observing the MLK Jr. federal holiday through service is a way to begin each year with a commitment to making our community a better place.
One issue that has been exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic is food insecurity.
- Pre-pandemic, 10.5% of all U.S. households experienced food insecurity during 2019 - this has more than doubled to 23% in 2020.
- 80% of food banks are serving more people than they were at the same time in 2019, with Black, Indigenous, and Hispanic communities being disproportionately impacted.
To commemorate MLK Jr. Day of Service (January 17, 2022), help combat food insecurity in our community by donating to Food Bank of the Rockies!
Did you know the food bank can provide four meals or five pounds of food for just a dollar? Even a small donation can make a difference! Click the Donate Now button to make your gift through this secure virtual food drive between January 10th and January 24th; or mail a check to Food Bank of the Rockies, 10700 E. 45th Ave, Denver, CO, 80239. Make sure to indicate "AECOM ED&I Colorado" fundraising drive on your check. Your donations are fully tax deductible.
Together we can solve hunger. Thanks in advance for your help!
